For AI agents
Budget enforced by the balance, not by the prompt
Your account carries a finite credit balance, shared by its keys, and every call reserves its cost before the work starts. A loop that keeps searching runs out and gets 402, which is the only spending limit that survives a confident plan. It also works with no key at all: pay-per-call over x402 costs $0.001 USDC per credit on Base, so a Google search is $0.005, settled only when the call succeeds. How x402 works.
