FastAF vs Serper

Verdict: Serper or FastAF?

Choose Serper if

  • You need raw Google results at high volume, where cost per query and queries per second matter most.

Choose FastAF if

  • You want Google plus commerce, real-estate, video and social sources from one balance.
  • An agent should pay per call over x402 without an account, or connect over MCP.
  • Usage is low or irregular: a small one-time pack, credits that never expire.

Serper prices

  • Starter pack $50: $1 per 1,000 searches
  • Ultimate pack $3,750: $0.30 per 1,000 searches

FastAF limits

  • Costs more per Google search than every Serper pack at list price.
  • Lower throughput: 2 concurrent requests free, 5 on paid packs, 25 on the largest pack.
  • Public pages only: login-only, paywalled and private-network targets are refused.

Last reviewed: 29 October 2026. Short answer: choose Serper for the lowest price per raw Google search at volume and very high throughput: from $1.00 down to $0.30 per 1,000 queries. Choose FastAF if your agent also needs non-Google sources (Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Zillow, YouTube transcripts, Reddit, LinkedIn, X), a hosted MCP server, credits that never expire, or x402 pay-per-call with no account.

Serper pricing (read 29 Oct 2026)

From serper.dev, prices excluding sales tax/VAT:

Pack (one-time top-up) Price Credits Per 1,000 Rate limit
Free $0 2,500 queries, no card - -
Starter $50 50,000 $1.00 50 queries/second
Standard $375 500,000 $0.75 100 queries/second
Scale $1,250 2,500,000 $0.50 200 queries/second
Ultimate $3,750 12,500,000 $0.30 300 queries/second

Serper credits are valid for 6 months. Only successful responses consume credits, and Serper states that it does not cache results. Serper does not publish a per-request credit table on its own site; third-party write-ups mention higher credit costs for more results per page, Maps and Shopping, which we could not confirm on serper.dev.

Cost per 1,000 Google searches

Per 1,000 searches Entry purchase
Serper packs $1.00 → $0.30 $50
FastAF packs (5 credits per search) $2.50 → $1.33 $10
FastAF x402 $3.00 none, pay per call

At list prices Serper is cheaper per Google search on every pack. FastAF’s smaller entry purchase ($10) and credits without expiry matter more when volume is low or irregular. Results are not identical; compare on your own queries.
